Family and good food are the most important things in life
Owner and pitmaster at Daddy’s Smoke House, Mostafa was born in Egypt, grew up in Hong Kong and graduated University with a Bachelor in
Engineering. His desire to fly led him to pursue a career as an airline pilot. He toured every corner of the world and sampled all the culinary
goodness it had to offer. While learning to fly in the USA, he discovered his passion for old world BBQ. In Texas he was introduced to low fire
slow cooked barbecue.
Through a career of aviation for over 25 years, traveling the world and honing his skills of smoking the best meat on the planet. Mostafa not only
took it as a hobby, but it became more of a passion for all things smoked. When asked why he started Daddy’s Smoke House, he simply had this to say
"Smoked food takes up to 14 hours of care, attention and love. It’s a meal that I’ve cooked for my family and loved ones for years."He takes his craft
very personally and makes sure he brings that same passion to his restaurant. Its only with the support of my entire family that I’ve been able to
transform a hobby and a passion into reality. My wife Ahlam is our Head Chef, and she is the heart and soul of the restaurant. We treat the restaurant
as our home and to us that means when you are a guest in our home, we can only serve you the best and take care of you like family"
